Continuous Diamond Grinding Cups for Smooth Concrete & Stone Grinding
R0.00 – R116.15Price range: R0.00 through R116.15
ROX® Continuous Diamond Grinding Cups are contractor-grade diamond grinding tools designed for controlled, smoother and slower grinding of concrete, stone, marble and other suitable surfaces.
Unlike aggressive segmented turbo grinding cups, continuous grinding cups are suited to applications where controlled material removal, surface refinement and a smoother grinding action are more important than maximum stock removal.
These diamond grinding cups are suitable for light grinding, removing surface imperfections, shaping and profiling stone edges, and preparing concrete, epoxy and stone surfaces for subsequent finishing operations.
| Code | Description | Size | Concrete /Stone | Grit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 85/5/010 | CONTINUOUS GRINDING CUP | 105 mm | Soft | 50/60 |
| 85/6/010 | CONTINUOUS GRINDING CUP | 105 mm | Soft | 80 |
A continuous diamond grinding cup is a diamond abrasive grinding tool with a continuous diamond-bearing grinding surface around the outer working edge of the cup.
Continuous diamond cups are designed to provide controlled material removal and a smoother grinding action compared with more aggressive segmented grinding cups.
They are commonly used for light grinding, surface refinement, removing minor surface imperfections and shaping stone edges where a controlled grinding action is preferred.
The ROX® Contractor continuous grinding cups are sintered diamond grinding cups designed for applications including marble, stone, epoxy and concrete.

What is a continuous diamond grinding cup?
A continuous diamond grinding cup is a diamond grinding tool with a continuous working surface designed for controlled and relatively smooth material removal.
What are continuous diamond grinding cups used for?
They are used for light grinding, removing surface imperfections, grinding concrete, epoxy, marble and stone, and shaping or profiling stone edges.
Are continuous diamond cups good for concrete?
Yes. Continuous diamond grinding cups can be used for suitable concrete applications, particularly where controlled or light grinding is required.
Are continuous diamond cups suitable for epoxy?
Yes. These cups are for epoxy applications and for epoxy sanding on compatible ROX® floor grinders.
What is the difference between a continuous and segmented diamond cup?
Continuous cups are designed for smoother and slower grinding, while segmented cups generally provide more aggressive material removal.
Are continuous grinding cups suitable for marble?
Yes. Marble and stone are among the suitable applications for its continuous grinding cups.
Can continuous grinding cups remove surface imperfections?
Yes. They are specifically for removing surface imperfections and light grinding.
Can I use a continuous grinding cup on an angle grinder?
Compatible contractor continuous grinding cups can be used on suitable 125 mm angle grinders and variable-speed polishers. Confirm the cup and machine specifications before use.
What grit continuous grinding cup should I use?
The appropriate grit depends on the material and required amount of material removal. We have 50/60 and 80 grit options for suitable applications, with coarser grits generally providing more material removal and finer grits supporting lighter grinding and refinement.
Are continuous diamond cups good for heavy coating removal?
They are primarily intended for smoother and slower grinding and light grinding. For heavy coating removal or aggressive stock removal, a segmented turbo grinding cup may be a better choice.
What size continuous grinding cups are available?
105 mm continuous grinding cups in the Contractor range.
| Feature | Continuous Cup | Turbo Segmented Cup |
|---|---|---|
| Grinding speed | Slower and controlled | Fast and aggressive |
| Material removal | Light to moderate | Moderate to heavy |
| Surface refinement | Strong application | Secondary consideration |
| Light grinding | Excellent | May be excessive |
| Heavy coating removal | Not the primary choice | Better suited |
| Stone edge shaping | Excellent application | Depends on material and tool |
