What Is a Tri-Glide?

A Tri-Glide is a professional flooring application tool used to spread self-levelling and self-smoothing flooring materials at a controlled thickness. The ROX® Tri-Glide is designed specifically for medium-thickness flooring systems from approximately 3 mm to 10 mm.

The tool is manufactured from heavy-duty stainless steel and uses adjustable gliders that contact the floor while the tool is pulled through the freshly mixed material. The gliders help control the working height and provide a consistent method of spreading the flooring system across the prepared surface.

The ROX® Tri-Glide is suitable for self-levelling cementitious screeds as well as epoxy and urethane screed systems.

FAQ

What is a ROX® Tri-Glide used for?

The ROX® Tri-Glide is used to spread self-levelling and self-smoothing flooring systems at a controlled thickness. It is designed for medium-thickness applications of approximately 3–10 mm.

What thickness can a Tri-Glide apply?

The current ROX® Tri-Glide is positioned for self-levelling systems from approximately 3 mm to 10 mm.

Can the Tri-Glide be used for epoxy flooring?

Yes. It is designed for self-levelling epoxy systems as well as cementitious and urethane screeds.

Can it be used for urethane screeds?

Yes. The product is designed for self-levelling and self-smoothing urethane systems.

Can the Tri-Glide be used for cement screed?

Yes. It is suitable for self-levelling cement screeds and cementitious flooring systems.

What size is the ROX® Tri-Glide?

The main Tri-Glide is 600 mm wide.

What is the Tri-Glide made from?

It is manufactured from heavy-duty stainless steel.

Are the gliders replaceable?

How do you adjust the Tri-Glide?

The gliders can be unscrewed and rotated to change the working position.

What is the difference between a Tri-Glide and a gauging rake?

A gauging rake is generally used for thinner self-levelling systems, while the Tri-Glide is designed for medium-thickness systems around 3–10 mm.

What is the difference between a Tri-Glide and a Floor Spreader?

The Tri-Glide is designed for approximately 3–10 mm applications, while the ROX® Floor Spreader is intended for thicker self-levelling cement screeds.

What is the difference between a Tri-Glide and a Skeg Leveller?

Both are designed for approximately 3–10 mm systems, but the Tri-Glide uses adjustable gliders while the Skeg Leveller uses replaceable skegs.

Do I need a spike roller after using a Tri-Glide?

For many self-levelling systems, spike rolling is part of the installation process to help release trapped air. The exact procedure should follow the flooring manufacturer's instructions.
